Message I wouldn't be surprised if you shave off 20-30 pounds in hardware alone. You could go so far as to omit them or remove trim studs that aren't completely necessary.

i think you would be better off with a tubular front subframe (chromoly), that will save quite a bit too. The rear subframe is pretty light as is, probably not a lot to gain there without sacrificing rigidity.

I even saved a few pounds by pulling wires out of the EFI harness, like PRVR, AIV, EGR, boost solenoids. Coil pack swap/ptu delete alone saved me ~60 feet of wire weight.
